چکیده
The development of a Ti-34Nb-6Sn alloy by the powder metallurgy method, employing two different compaction conditions, A (100 MPa) and B (200 MPa), was carried out. To evaluate feasibility as an implant biomaterial, microstructural mechanical characterizations, well corrosion susceptibility ion release tests, were performed. Results indicated microstructures dominated presence ?-Ti phase lower percentage ?-Ti Nb phases. porosity decreased when pressure increased. Both conditions presented good match between elastic moduli (14.0 to 18.8 GPa) that reported for bone tissue. Ti, Sn ions released both within acceptable ranges human body. Condition showed higher resistance in comparison with condition A. Based on obtained results, produced porous alloys are feasible materials orthopedic applications.

Magnesium and its alloys are light, biodegradable, biocompatible metals that have promising applications as biomaterials. Magnesium is potentially useful for orthopedic and cardiovascular applications. However, the corrosion rate of this metal is so high that its degradation occurs before the end of the healing process. One of the ways to improve the corrosion rate is to compose it’s with cer...

Characterization of the microstructure, tensile and creep behavior of powder metallurgy processed and rolled Ti-6Al-4V-1B Alloy
This work investigated the microstructure and elevated-temperature (400-475C) tensile and tensile-creep deformation behavior of a powder metallurgy (PM) rolled Ti-6Al-4V-1B(wt.%) alloy. The PM rolled Ti-6Al-4V-1B alloy exhibited a duplex microstructure, and it did not exhibit a strong α-phase texture compared with the PM extruded Ti-6Al-4V-1B alloy. The PM rolled Ti6Al-4V-1B alloy exhibited gre...

Ti addition to AZ91 alloy was been investigated with conventional casting. The microstructure and mechanical property were examined. The Corrosion resistance of all the different Ti addition content alloy was studied in 3.5% NaCl solution through weight loss measurement in constant immersion conditions and potentiodynamic polarization experiments. The results show that addition of Ti with an am...
